MATERNITY LEAVE
Exciting news! Our lead trainer, Jess, is currently on maternity leave as we eagerly await the arrival of a new pack member. During this time, the website will be temporarily inactive, and unfortunately, we won't be available to take any inquiries.
We appreciate your understanding, and while we're uncertain about the exact return date, we look forward to coming back refreshed and ready to share more paws-itive training insights with you.

If you are looking for a trainer to assist you, please ensure that they are fully qualified in Dog Training and Behaviour, and practice up to date and scientifically backed methods of positive reinforcement.

What is canine college?
Here at JCC, we take a complete and modern approach, backed by science, to assist you and your beloved canine companion.
We understand that, similar to humans, our dogs' behaviour is influenced by their mental state and immediate goals. With this understanding, our primary focus is on establishing clear communication with our dogs and guiding them towards the desired behaviors, rather than resorting to scolding unwanted behaviors.

Our utmost dedication lies in educating the public about nurturing a healthy and harmonious bond with their dogs. By providing insights into dog psychology, communication, and body language, we empower owners with the necessary knowledge to raise well-balanced and healthy dogs.

Undesirable behaviors should be viewed as a form of communication, indicating an underlying issue rather than the problem itself. That's why mere training just isn't enough. Behaviors act as symptoms, revealing deeper concerns that need to be addressed. Simply addressing one symptom won't solve the overall problem, as it will only continue to surface in other areas of the dog’s life until it is properly addressed.
As our lifestyles continue to develop alongside our canine companions, it's crucial that we adjust the way we have previously addressed dog training and behaviour to ensure the well-being of the two-legged and four-legged.

Client Testimonials
I can’t thank Jess enough for what she has helped us achieve."
"In May 2022 I reached out to Jess hoping to find some advice and guidance for my 3 y/o cattle dog who is lead reactive.
Jess’ knowledge, advice and support has been amazing!
Jess provided us with the guidance on how to start reducing the reactivity. We have worked hard to implement these techniques with only positive results.

We dreaded walks in the fear of coming home embarrassed and little motivation for the next one. Since working with Jess our dog is a lot more relaxed, listens and responds to us on walks. Walks are now enjoyable and fun.

We try to find as many dogs as we can whilst out walking now to continue working on the reactivity and be proud of the moments we can peacefully walk by another dog from a distance.

We still have a long way to go, but if you too are experiencing reactivity you are not alone. Consistency and hard work does pay off - you will even be surprised how much you and your dog will enjoy the progress. I can’t thank Jess enough for what she has helped us achieve."
